My house smells like smoke
Last night, I was cooking hubby dinner. I was making burritos. I got the tortillas ready to warm up and put them on the stove and thought I would warm them up when my hubby got home so they would be warm for him. Raegan and I went into the other room to watch TV and about 30-45 minutes later I see smoke and smell burning. I run into the kitchen, apparently I turned the stove on to heat the tortillas and didnt realize it. Now my house smells terrible. It's 56 degrees outside and I have all the windows open, fans on, candles lit etc etc etc. I really do not want all my friends to come in and smell the burning smell. UGHH...what a time for this to happen. Hey at least I caught it before the house caught on fire.

Love/Hate Relationship with weekends
I love that I do not have to get up early and go to work. I love the my hubby is home and we spend time as a family. I love that we get to hang out with friends and just be lazy.
I hate that it is so hard to be good on the weekend. By being good I mean, eating healthy. Through out the week I am so good. I stay home, eat healthy, workout every day. But weekends come and I have such great intentions but seldom follow through. This weekend that is going to change. I am going to be good, all though I have a spring bbq to go to and a birthday party at a pizza place. I am going to be good. I do not work hard all week to spoil it on the weekend.

Walking is scary
Friday night, she was walking around in the kitchen. I sat down in one of the dining table chairs, she steps on my foot and slipped off. Next thing I know she had fallen. Not only did she hit her head on the solid oak claw foot of the table but also her mouth. I picked my baby up, looked at her and there was blood coming out her mouth and her lip was huge. I almost panicked. I called my hubby and said we were heading to urgent care. My poor princess split the inside of her upper lip and has a fat lip. Luckily no stitches are needed and it will heal on its own. I snapped this photo with my phone before I even cleaned her face off. I just threw her in her car seat and we were off.

comments
I vow to be a better blogger from here on out. I guess I need to figure out how to use the blog site a little better.
Back on the wagon
So the top picture is me prior to Raegan. Below that is me this weekend with Raegan. OMG...How did I let that happen. You can see my weight I carry a lot of it in my butt and thighs. So today is my 3rd attempt at trying this year to lose it. Whats the saying. 3rd times the charm. Please oh please let it work this time.

Busy Girl
The little mock baby gates I have set up are now not working. She just pushes threw them to get where she wants to go.
She has turned into such a toddler so fast. It really is making me consider trying to have another one....But....that means trying to talk the hubby into it. I dont think that will be happening anytime soon.

Day 14 and big fat ZERO
1) Raegan got Pneumonia this week.
2) Mommy (me) got bronchitis and sinus infection
3) Daddy was sick all weekend
4) 1 through 3 means mommy did not work out all week.
So I am happy to remain the same for the week and day 21 will probably be the same since I just went to the Dr because I am still sick and I most likely will not be working out this week either.

Raegan's Wheels
A little back story. My husband likes to have a project to work on at all times. When I say project I mean a car, motorcyle ..something that he can take all apart and get it painted, powder coated and put it back together and it looks 10 times better than what it did before he started. Now I am trying to get him to find an old convertible volkswagen beetle to start working on for Raegan when she turns 16.
Instead...he found something that he can work on for her 1st birthday. Here is her adorable wagon that her daddy built for her. It started off as just a standard Red wagon with wood fencing around it. Now it is the princess' stylish ride. He got the idea off a website he saw but they were selling them for about $400. He was able to make one himself for less than half that. The picture's do not even do it justice. It is soooo cute. Nice bright pink, with girly skulls and pinstriping all over it.
Blog Giveaways
I opened my door the other day to find a big box. It was from Joy who writes the Living on Trees blog. I won the Noxzema gift pack she was giving away. I was so excited to open it and when she said that Noxzema went above and beyond she was correct. I will not have to buy any razors for quite a while. I was so excited to go shave. Never thought I would say that.

New Year and 45 lbs
So flashback to 2007. Kimberly Smith (me) weighed in at 280 lbs. Yes...280 lbs. I was very over weight and depressed about it. I didnt show it on the outside so everyone thought I was the happy go lucky funny girl but really on the inside I hated myself and my life. Things happend in my life that made me want to be a different person. I started eating healthy and was at the gym 5 days a week. I didnt "diet". If I said I was on a diet it just wouldn't work. So I did a lifestyle change of being active and eating healthier. In about a year I lost close to 100 lbs. I was much happier in my life. I was much happier with my husband because I felt sexier, prettier and overall better.
2008 was a good year. As husband and wife we traveled and just went through life happier because of the new me. The new me mad both me and hubby happier. Although he said he didn't care about my weight.
April 2009 I found out I was pregnant with my little miracle. I call her my little miracle because in the 13 years my husband and I were together I could never get pregnant. We went to a fertility doctor who said I was fine and shouldn't have any troubles. The common factor in all my doctor visits were you need to lose weight. Well, losing close to 100 lbs obviously helped because now we were expecting our little bundle of joy. Now all along before I found out I was pregnant I was at the gym 5 days a week. As soon as I found out I was pregnant I quit going to the gym. Why? I just had it in my head that something was going to happen to the baby if I kept working out, so I stopped. After all my baby was more important than going to the gym. So since April 2009, I have not been as active as I should be. I gained 60 lbs during my pregnance and I am sad to say I have 45 lbs still to lose.
Sooo... New Year and 45 lbs to lose. I started going back to the gym and I have been eating better. I love this machine at the gym. The stairmaster. Not the old step step step but more of the one that looks like an escalator that you just keep climbing. Before baby I could do 40 minutes on this machine and not have any problems. It was my favorite machine. The machine that I credit to getting my thighs and legs into shape. Well...sad to say, I did 8 minutes and it killed me. I was so out of breath. Thats what almost two years of no excercise has done to my endurance. So everyday I will be adding 2-4 minutes on this machine and get my endurance back. I used to also take Zumba and spinning classes. I don't dare go into these classes right now until I can get my endurance back. I would be so embarassed to have to leave class halfway through because I thought I would die if I kept going.
45 lbs...wow...thats quite a bit and to top it off. I would love to lose it by the end or March. That means 15 lbs a month. I just keep repeating the mantra. I can do it, I can do it, I can do it. I now have to do it for myself and also for my little miracle. I want her to be an active baby so she needs parents that can lead her.
I can do it, I can do it, I can do it.
